Pembina Plum tree description

Also known as Pyrus 'Pembina', this is a good dessert plum with yellow flesh that is sweet and juicy. The large size, pointed fruit ripens in mid to late August. This fruit has red skin with yellow flesh and is a freestone. Pembina plums are excellent for eating and processing; the finest plum on the prairies for eating fresh.

Zone 3-8. This plum is an old timer that originated in Brookings, SD back in 1923. Plums aer large and red, maturing in late August. Flesh is yellow and fruit is sweet, juicy and good for jams, jelly or fresh eating. Requires pollinator and grows only 10 to 15' tall.

All plum trees will be available for delivery as bare rootstock.

Shipping begins mid-April once the frost is out of the ground. All plants are shipped bare root from our family nursery in Midwestern Wisconsin. Please understand that commiting to a shipment date before this time frame just is not possible, however, if mother nature is kind and the ground thaws early then the trees will ship early. Every effort is made to ensure the plants you receive are healthy and ready to plant. However, it is impossible to guarantee planting results. Weather, soil conditions, insects and proper planting all play a part in successful growth.
