Parker Pear tree description

An older University of Minnesota release (1934), 'Parker' produces fruit similar in size, flavor and texture to 'Bartlett. It is large for a cold-hardy pear and has a yellow and bronze color. The tree itself stands upright and is considered a quick grower. Its tasty flesh is tender and juicy with a fine grain. The fruit of a parker pear ripens in the late summer, usually in September. A parker pear tree will pollinate with any other variety of pear.

Zone 4-8. An introduction of the University of Minnesota in 1934, it is an open pollinated seedling of Manchurian pear. Produces large, yellow-bronze fruit that is fine grained, tender and juicy. Upright and vigorous, it is an excellent pollinator for Luscious.

All pear trees will be available for delivery as bare rootstock unless otherwise noted.

Shipping begins mid-April once the frost is out of the ground. All plants are shipped bare root from our family nursery in Midwestern Wisconsin. Please understand that commiting to a shipment date before this time frame just is not possible, however, if mother nature is kind and the ground thaws early then the trees will ship early. Every effort is made to ensure the plants you receive are healthy and ready to plant. However, it is impossible to guarantee planting results. Weather, soil conditions, insects and proper planting all play a part in successful growth.

We are not responsible for the plants health if you choose to order a plant that will simply not grow or survive in your area based on the pictured zone map. Please order responsibly.
